Evelyn Vollmer

3D Laboratory Manager

Evelyn Vollmer is the Whiteside museum of natural histories 3D Laboratory Manager. She has over 10 years of experience working to 3D digitize museum specimens. She worked with the National Science Foundation’s oVert omega project to digitize 50 of the world’s largest mammals, including a complete blue whale skeleton. She is also an avid 3D paleo artist, utilizing programs such as Zbrush to create realistic depictions of animals from Helicoprion to Dimetrodon. Her 3D work has been featured in museums across the country including the Smithsonian, IMNH, WDC and even right here in Seymour Texas.
