Dimetrodon is a carnivorous Eupelycosaur that lived during the Permian Period, between 290 and 270 million years ago, which makes them older than Dinosaurs by more than 50 million years. Dimetrodon is a primitive synapsid, which today includes mammals. Seymour, Texas is one of the best places in the world to find fossils of Dimetrodon.
