This exhibit hall features prehistoric mammals to modern-day mammals. It’s named in honor of Dr. Kent Sundell, who has spent his career studying Oligocene mammals. He has helped improve our understanding of how animals evolved and how ecosystems changed in ancient North America.

New Exhibit Hall

The Bakker Hall of Dinosaurs

The Bakker Hall showcases dinosaurs from across North America and how they relate to modern day birds. The hall is named after world renowned  paleontologist Dr. Bakker who helped reshape modern theories about dinosaurs, particularly by adding support to the theory that some dinosaurs were endothermic (warm-blooded).
