We will meet at the museum at 7:30 AM and come in at 2:00 PM
Registration will open on January 1st for the 2023 Permian Fest Paleontology Workshop!
The Whiteside Museum of Natural History proudly offers the Permian Fest Paleontology Dig program which will allow guests a rare opportunity to experience and learn about the world-famous Lower Permian fossil beds of Baylor County. Attendees will get to assist WMNH paleontologists as they uncover fossils of Dimetrodon and other Permian reptiles and amphibians. Though guests will not be allowed to keep these fossils, it presents a once-in-a-lifetime chance to help collect specimens from a historic and scientifically important fossil site. These fossils will be permanently cataloged into the WMNH collections and research database, as well as placed on exhibit for the world to see and enjoy.
